From Tuesday, October 22, a new classically Italian Summer pop-up for street-side Spritz and sips on Errol Street opens in North Melbourne. Sprizzo Summer Bar by Sosta - a little alfresco, laid-back addition to Sosta Ristorante - offers aperitivo just for you on the front terrace.
Whether you are knocking off early or kicking back on a Saturday, start your afternoon right - from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm Tuesday to Saturday take a little $12 Spritz stop around Italy. Start with a refreshing Sicilian Limoncello Spritz, savour a classic Milanese Spritz, or if a Negroni is more your vibe then order it spritz’d up!
A selection of best-priced wine and beer also features, making it the happiest of hour(s). Alongside the Spritz menu, graze on Head Chef Tintori’s crispy calamari or porchetta and sauerkraut sliders, olive ascolane filled with chicken liver parfait, gnocco fritto served with cured meats and much more. If Melbourne weather plays its part, then Chef Tintori will be lighting the grill and serving classic arrosticini out front.
Expect the wonderful smoky sweet smell of sizzling skewered grilled meats to entice you to a table on the terrace. Traditional lamb arrosticini will be the staple of Summer, but swing by on a sunny day to see what else is cooking.
