Sydney Place: CBD Dining Unveiled at Last

Sydney’s CBD has no shortage of excellent dining establishments, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting with the brand-new Sydney Place venue, just metres away from one of the city's most-loved and breathtaking waterfront destinations, Circular Quay.

Launching more than 15 new cafés, restaurants and bars, Sydney Place will become the new mecca for great food with an array of recognisable and awarded Chefs, restaurateurs and lifestyle retailers opening within intimate laneways created by the landmark 55-storey office tower, officially Sydney’s tallest office building and designed by one of the world’s leading architecture firms, Foster + Partners.

Sydney Place will include three uber-cool laneways for perusing the many eating options, each with a collection of drink and dine venues inviting visitors to discover and explore the area’s rich tapestry day or night.

Underwood Street:  This is a hidden alleyway destination for all things pocket-sized and intimate, from coffee and toasties to a destination Japanese diner and even a tattoo parlour (skip dessert and go straight to the tattoo?). We’re talking, about Joel Best’s new Japanese-inspired restaurant and whisky bar concept, plus Kingswood Coffee and The Associate café.

Having just opened a Japanese-inspired restaurant and whisky bar by Joel Best, later this year the much-anticipated rebirth of multi-level Jacksons on George will open its doors, completing the transformation of Sydney Place into a premium dining and lifestyle destination.

We’re sure that for locals, Sydney Place dining will become a regular go-to as it blends into the historic surrounds and offers excellent transport possibilities given its location.
