Margarita lovers unite! The ultimate Margarita fiesta is taking over Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane.
The riverside precinct is again turning International Margarita Day into an 11-day celebration because, let’s face it, one day is just not enough to celebrate and indulge in the iconic Mexican-born cocktail.

Partnering with famous tequila brand, Patron, Howard Smith Wharves’ Ultimate Margarita Fiesta at Brisbane's Howard Smith Wharves, Margarita Week will run from Thursday, February 20 to Sunday, March 2.
Whether you like your Margarita stirred, shaken or frozen, venues across Howard Smith Wharves will serve up signature interpretations of the salty-rimmed specialty. Sweet, smoky, spicy or savoury options will all be available.
Beyond the cocktails, there’s something for everyone, with delicious Mexican-inspired food and entertainment across both weekends including a Mariachi band, Latin and Cuban musicians plus piñatas and games for the kids.

Pick your sunny spot across the Wharves or enjoy the Main Lawn which will transform into the Patrón Garden over two weekends featuring the ultimate fiesta and flavour experience.
Award-winning Chef Louis Tikaram will be taking over the Main Lawn with a Margarita Week pop-up food stall with a bespoke menu, drawing inspiration from Mexican culture and food after living in Los Angeles for six years.
"I’m so excited to celebrate and bring a special menu to Margarita Week for the third year running. With music, entertainment and a range of other offerings across the precinct, the Brisbane River will be the perfect place to embrace the rich taste and culture of Mexico,” he says.

"I’m making some of my favourite Mexican dishes, including pork chicharrónes, refried black beans and tacos with options including achiote chicken, grilled kingfish, Wagyu tromba and mojo roasted local mushrooms.”
For the beer lovers, Felons Brewing Co. has developed the Paloma Sour Ale, a cocktail-inspired sour infused with grapefruit zest, salt and tequila. Felons General Manager Jimmie Gold says the team set out to create a balance between spirit, beer and cocktail.
"The Paloma Sour Ale is the ultimate ode to summer refreshment, with citrus aromas in full swing,” he says. "The Sour pairs perfectly with fresh oysters!”
