About Mungo National Park
Mungo National Park is situated on 88,637 hectares and the focal point of the world heritage listed Wilandra Lakes World Heritage Area. Mungo's lake shores, now dust-dry, hold a record of aboriginal life stretching back 40,000 years. Adding to the atmosphere are the remarkable 'Walls of China', a 33 kilometres crescent shaped dune of orange and white earth formations. Explore the backwoods on the drive-tour loop with many birds & animals species to view, but be sure to take adequate provisions.
