About The Pinnacles Desert
From the dusty yellow sands rise thousands of huge limestone pillars, contrasting with the typical coastland surrounds - The Pinnacles Desert is certainly an attraction not to be missed. Situated in Nambung National Park, The Pinnacles were previously unknown to the wider public until the 1960's. Best observed at dawn or dusk, the eerily spectacular shadows that these giant rock formations cast ripple majestically over the yellow sand dunes. The Pinnacles Desert is also home to western grey kangaroos, emus and an assortment of reptiles and birdlife.
