About Amanda's on the Edge
When in the Hunter Valley it’s natural to roam around for an authentic taste of home and Amanda’s on the Edge offers country flavours from a sprawling hilltop locale in Pokolbin. Vineyard views are accentuated by alfresco dining, though the interior setting in itself is welcoming with earthy tiles and fashionably sturdy wooden tables in modern accents of tin and uplifting hints of yellow and rose. Turning from tin and gold accents, laying eyes on the menu, Amanda's selection is a welcome sight; creamy crab and bug meat bisque might feature along with seared beef eye fillet teamed with thyme and potato galette, baby spinach and tomato relish. Amanda’s on the Edge will have you teetering towards dessert so do leave room.

Visited on Valentines Day lunch for the husband's birthday. Many others had the same idea as the restaurant and patio 95% occupied for the 12 noon sitting and booked out for 1pm sitting. We sat on the patio to enjoy the view over the vineyard on a warm day with gentle breezes. Service was excellent - the waiters looked like they were as happy to be there as we were which made us feel relaxed. We both enjoyed a glass of Amanda's 2011 Chardonnay. The crab ravioli entree was as fresh as you could get and the pasta delicate and delicious. Salt and pepper squid entree size was another melt in the mouth delight. We also had an asparagus ricotta and walnut tossed warm salad with a light green dressing. I could have had that alone and would have been happy! Delicious. Desserts and coffee to finish stylishly served and a dessert lovers dream. Can highly recommend a visit for lunch or even for a dessert hit in the afternoon.

Amanda's on the edge is by far the best value for money restaurant in the Hunter Valley. The meals are huge so are deserts, the rest of the "Fancy" restaurants in the Hunter Valley should take a leaf out of Amanda's book and actually have a meal there and see what real customers really want. Thankyou Amanda for the awesome atmosphere and the meals are to die for, we'll be back for sure.
What a great find. This place has a great atmosphere, picturesque views, fantastic food, good service and Amanda is a wonderful host. Will be back.
Just came home from an amazing mouth party of flag ours, textures and class. I must say, I was certainly impressed by the atmosphere, cuisine, service and wine. This is a must, a never regret dining experience.
First time come here, excellent food, excellent service! Highly recommend !
Held a small wedding reception here, Amanda and her team are excellent and very attentive. The setting and surrounds are beautiful.
The food is great and the service impeccable. Highly recommend it.
This was our first time to Amanda's and it was just lovely. A beautiful table by the fire and very friendly staff. As we wanted to share an entree they offered to split it into two bowls which I thought very thoughtful. My partner had the ribeye and said it was amazing. I was very impressed by their vegetarian options and went with the stuffed mushroom which was so nice. Will definitely be back next time I'm at the hunter! Yum!!
the best meal i have ever eaten. the chef is truely talented. the flavours i'm sure my taste buds had never met before, words just can not describe how incredable it was. The quality of the food amazing. i have eaten in 5 star restaurant before only to be dissapointed but not Amanda's. My taste buds are screaming to go back!
