Nothing negative to say about this place!
I've been to Amani a few times and I love the vibe I get from the staff there. Everyone is friendly, they make the effort to remember what you drink. The wine is great and the food is super tasty. We always opt for the grazing board or the charcuterie simply because it's great value and we like to nibble as we drink. On the weekend it gets quiet busy past 9pm, but after a few wines a dance is just what you need!
Took my family there for a birthday, the food was all share plates which I was unsure of at first but the taste was phenomenal. We had octopus, sirloin, scallops and barramundi. All beautifully cooked and presented. We had a couple of glasses of wine then moved onto the cocktails having a superb espresso martini. For value for money this place is on the ball, service was good, atmosphere was a bit quiet but definitely worth a vidit
I have visited Amani a few times now and love going back. A place with exciting dishes which are full of flavour and creativity. (5 stars if I was allowed!) The menu has changed a few times now keeping things fresh which gives me the impression the chef is there to impress. The setting is nice with a kind of modern yet retro feel to it. It seems to attract a relatively, let call it sophisticated crowd of both young (20+) and middle aged which creates a good blend of characters. I find groups of ladies are always a good indication to a place of comfort and Amani has no falls there. The service on my first visit seemed unorganized however I did go on the first week of opening and one should probably expect this might be the case. (bad move!) Through my following visits (6+) I've been happy each time so there won’t be a need to wipe the egg off my face by making recommendation. Bar staff have always been helpful and there's no question whether they know their drinks. Value... $10-$15 for an A class entree size plate. Say no more. $20-$30 to fill you up even better. No complaints here. The drinks are surprisingly well priced also. $10 per glass mostly across the board which is what I'd expect to pay anywhere so happily pay that there. If I could fault them it would be on the number of wines available and no tapped beer. There just isn't quite enough. The barman tells me they're working on a selection of more wines and a friend of mine was also told a "German" beer on tap is soon to accompany its range. I hope this is not just wives tales because I'm looking forward to a few more business lunches here!
