About Burketown Pub
For the best night in town, locals and visitors alike head to the Burketown Pub on the corner of Beames and Musgrave Streets for good pub grub and ice-cold beer. One of the most remote pubs in Australia and home of the World Barramundi Fishing Championships in Queensland’s Gulf Country, this watering hole is the place for a cold bevvy and pub feed after a day of exploring. Take a seat on the terrace and choose from succulent meals that you wish your mother would make, such as a steak sandwich with chips for lunch; or slice your knife into Scotch fillet cooked your way, with chips, vegetables and choice of sauce. Seafood lovers choose a seafood basket, or crispy calamari, washed down with a glass of white wine; perhaps stay over in comfortable accommodation after a busy day of sightseeing.
