A great venue with top food

We went on friday night walk in. We were lucky to come earlier, it was fill up very quickly. The ambience was nice, a little tight in term of space. Music was a little loud, but we are able to make conersation. We chose a set menu $40 per person which include appetiser, starter (our choice),main (our choice), dessert. The appetiser was mainly fried banana,fried cassava ,which I did not really like. Starter, my husband chose seafood cold dish, was really refreshing. Mine was eggplant with beef, the eggplant was grilled nice and tender. I really enjoyed it. Big serve too. Main, my husband chose beef with rice. He actually ordered with potatoes but they must have forgotten his order. We did not want to make big fuss as the restaurant was busy. Mine was seafood risotto. It was plenty of prawn and chorizo . It was good . With desser, i did not really like rice puding. The plus was the food and byo wine, which make this place perfect for date night. But service a little lacking because they were so busy and under staff.

I love the food here and the staff are also really friendly. We will come back again soon.

This is an excellent place to do something different in Sydney, the food is legendary, the staff is very friendly, an the enviroment is very joyful. Definitely a must visit when going to newtown.

I am passionate with Exotik Latin. Each dish shows a little of each country in South America, with originality and flavour. I highly recommend Tequenos (the best ones).
