Food was excellent - atmosphere great. Lovely spacious and comfortable booths. We even received a complimentary side dish of broccolini, even though we had ordered a side dish as well. We'll be back.

Unusual menu but don't let that scare you the food combinations are wonderful. We were visiting Adelaide for a few days and FIshban was recommended to us by the lovely people at Penfolds Estate. We weren't disappointed.
The service was first class our waiter has good recommendations for both the wine and the food.
We shares the CHef's charcuterie to start fabulous combinations of taste. There we five varieties of fish which were done in the style of air dried meats and the collections of sauces complemented the fish.
I had the Murray Cod as a main, it was delightful and my partner had the Mussels which she enjoyed thoroughly.
The ambience of the restaurant is also special. Built in the old bank chamber of the Bank of New South Wales, it has super high ceilings. FIshbank has taken a staid building and added al lightness and modernity to make it feel very special. The toilets are down in the old safe and worth a visit. :).
A lovely meal and great location.
One complaint. We were sat near the door and they did not shut by themselves which meant we kept getting a cool wind blow. It didn't help that some crazy young girl kept leaving it open every time she went out for a cigarette.
