Brighton's Fox in the Box pulls off the unique trick of catering to all sorts of allergies but still producing food that makes ms want to dance with joy at the very thought of eating it
My wife has a range of food intolerances that usually make every dining experience tedious for her as we check every ingredient in every dish, the staff get annoyed because they think we are just being difficult, she ends up with a plain steak because it's the safest thing on the menu and then she ends up sick anyway because they didn't tell us there was soy or garlic in the salad dressing
Fox inthe Box delivered the opposite of our usual experience. They understand food issues and they were incredibly helpful about checking everything
the food was incredible. My wife tells me the confit duck was perfectly cooked and delicious. I enjoyed every bite of the melt in your mouth pork belly on a bed of flavour packed risotto. We don't usually even bother looking at a dessert menu but this time we finished a great meal with a divine lemon meringue pie and a perfectly balanced affogatto
My only complaint (apart from the guy at the table behind me who was loud and a bit weird) is that Brighton is a hell of a long way from my house. Still, a meal like that was worth a long drive and well worth every cent of the perfectly reasonable price
Yeah, I love this place.

Brilliant! A full restaurant experience for people who can't eat gluten/fructose/lactose but food so delicious it's great for people with no allergies as well!
