About Old Beijing

Celebrating a long culinary history, tradition and culture, Old Beijing on Artemis Lane brings an authentic taste of China to the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Nestled in QV Shopping Centre, expect a contemporary dining experience in a sleek and elegant vibe of red lanterns and clothed tables, plates shaped like ducks and communal seatings. It’s all about the Peking duck, so make sure to order yours with pancakes and sturgeon oscietra caviar; or delve into a signature xiao long bao, filled with crab and pork, steamed prawns and loofah, or black truffle. Seafood lovers salivate over XO pipis with crispy vermicelli, or mud crab in Singapore chilli sauce; best enjoyed with sides of seasonal Asian greens and steamed jasmine rice.

The best place to eat in the CBD
Visited here for the 6th time last week with my family, the service is exceptional - they even provided my children with little plastic bowls and cups which was lovely. We ordered a whole duck, steamed dumplings, orange chicken and duck friend rice to share. The duck is incredible - served beautifully, plated to share, the duck fried rice was without doubt the best in the city. My kids loved the dumplings too. Cannot wait to come back.
