Will ALWAYS keep coming back here. Order from the amazing menu and wait to be surprised how your order will be presented ... you won't guess the answer. Impeccable service and great wines. To top off or start a great night, try their martinis ...
Lovely staff, great food.
Excellent food but no view of the lake
Every time we eat here we are amazed by the Chef's creativity. The menu continues to surprise and delight. By far one of the best dining experiences in Newcastle.
Tasty tasty
One of the best valued restaurants in Newcastle, and food is second to none
What a Lunch ! Had a great lunch on the weekend with a group of friends, Great Food ! fresh and full of flavour.
this place is fantastic, although the menu is quiet small they change it very regularly so i can go back a couple of weeks later and there is always something new to try. dont worry about not having a favorite dish to choose as the new ones are always delicious..
Very pleasant way to pass an afternoon, with an extremely attentive waitress
amazing place, why isn`t it sydney right next to my house. fresh, fast, simple with true skill. it is the little things that are great. with pigs head ,and nose to tail cooking. love it. thats just the food with a keen interest with local wines from the hunter and good homely service, can`t say enough, keep up the good work sprout team ,get there if you haven`t been ,you`ll love it.
I love Sprout! The food is amazing and they are constantly updating their menu. The staff are friendly, attentive and unpretentious. Highly recommended!
Excellent meal & service
This is one top restaurant. Food is delicious and service excellent. Best meal I have had in Newcastle for a long time and will definitely be going back. Will highly recommend to all my friends
We were blown away with the quality and flavour of our meals....superb, best meal we have had in Newcastle in a very long time. Have been raving today to my workmates and friends and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Service was excellent, however we dined early, 6:00 p.m. and were the only customers at the time.
Only drawback was we were extremely frustrated trying to find the restaurant. It is listed as 2 Honeysuckle Drive; we walked around for 15 minutes and finally found it on Lee Wharf Road, very confusing.
Food was suberb, small menu but so much choice, Each dish was well executed and most had little treasures that the menu descriptions left unsaid. All the produce was very, very fresh and absolutely delicious.
Portion sizes were quite large, excellent value per head. Open kitchen immaculate, chefs very quiet and organised.
Wine list had a good range and matched well with the cuisine.
Service needs some work, we were ignored at the front door while one waitress transcribed an order less than a metre away, didn't even look up, our six wine glasses sat empty during our main course whilst tables were being re-set around us, it was quite hard to get their attention to order a second bottle. Some of the front of house seem to have very little experience with things such as pouring wine, but I'm sure this is just an early days problem.
Overall we were pleasantly surprised with Sprout, a little more than the usual harbourside fare at a great price, we have already made plans to return, and hope to regularly, hoping for some nightly specials to really showcase the creativity of these excellent chefs!
