About The Builders Arms Hotel
The Builders Arms Hotel on historic Gertrude Street Fitzroy celebrates its 150th anniversary. Originally opened in 1862 the pub has undergone many transformations, the most recent by new custodians Andrew McConnell, Anthony Hammond and 2011 Young Chef of the Year Josh Murphy. The bar and bistro opened in April 2012, marking the return of the traditional counter meal, all day every day from noon to midnight. The menu may include: ½ kg Sea Bounty mussels, saffron and aioli or Dry aged grass fed porterhouse on the bone, Cape Grim 400g.
