About The Last Jar
When looking for an authentic Irish pub in Melbourne’s CBD, jig on into The Last Jar on Elizabeth Street. Whether craving lunch, dinner or a pint of Guinness after work, The Last Jar offers rustic farmhouse fare with vegetarian options; rousing live Irish music on Wednesday nights and happy hour on Fridays. Kick back in the traditional dark wood interior, or in balmy weather enjoy your food and craft brew in the secluded beer garden. Perhaps chow down on a starter of Irish chips with cheese and curry sauce, or spicy buffalo chicken wings, blue cheese sauce and celery sticks; before moving onto signature mains of beef and Guinness pie, with mash and mushy peas, washed down by an icy cold beer. Burgers lovers can chow down on a Cajun chicken version, with loaded potato skins on the side.

I enjoyed every moment of my meal at The Last Jar. The food is absolutely wonderful, my favourite was the whiskey cured salmon which apparently they do themselves along with the soda bread... it was just delicious! The staff were helpful and lovely too... Definitely coming back, sooner rather than later.
