As the name of the restaurant imply, this is a perfect place to enjoy great quality steak and wine. They have great range of wine from Australia and South Africa. We came to this restaurant for birthday dinner on Monday. We were greeted with two receptionists on the front door, and ushered to our reserved table on level 2. We quite like our spot near the window which has nice view of CBD building light up. It was rather dark and private with few spot light, surrounded with rustic wooden panelled walls. We have done our research at home and pretty determined to try out their Wagyu Rump Steak and Lamb Rack. To enjoy our heavy main, we ordered small entrée Fried Cheese with Rockets, Sundried Tomato and Lemon. It was simple yet nice combination with crispy and melting at centre cheese. The main did not disappoint us either. Our medium cooked Wagyu rump with nice char was juicy and ‘melt in your mouth’. It was flavoursome but not too overpowering. The half lamb rack was bold with flavour, juicy, and tender. However, after few bites, we could not finish them and felt too greasy. Overall the steak itself was the highlight of our dinner (something to remember). Next time we would design our meals to be on the right portion less meat to give room for nice closing dessert to clean our palate. Sadly the service was mediocre, lack of initiation and enthusiasm in our opinion.
Ribs, Ribs and more Ribs!
The overall evening was wonderful! Situated on Southbank, the views of the river are just beautiful at dusk. We chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner and had a reservation for 2 at 7pm but was at the venue much earlier and they seated us at our table upstairs without a fuss. We ordered the ribs platter which consisted of beef, pork and lamb ribs with choice of side and the beef rib steak. Both dishes were succulent, tender and cooked to perfection. The meat was melt in your mouth perfect and seasonings were just right. There was a problem in kitchen that night, due to the fan not functioning and we were told before hand that meals may some time to be cooked as they did not want to over flood the restaurant with smoke. The wait was not as long as expected. The two sauces we ordered are definitely recommended! The Portuguese and creamy blue cheese sauces are amazing and I am sure the other choices would be just as nice! The creamy blue cheese sauce was not overpowering and Portuguese sauce was a lighter, spicier sauce, perfect dipping sauce to the chips and onion rings. We didn't order dessert as the mains were so filling (we barely managed to finish the ribs platter!), but we would come back and try other items on the menu.

It was a wonderful experience. Since they really meet the needs and wants of their customer. And they have a very good internal control to make their customers feel more comfortable.
