About The National Hotel
The National Hotel is a gastropub in Richmond boasting a spectacular courtyard and a colourful past. Owned by hospitality veterans Minh Nguyen (Riverland), Tim Northeast and Matthew Everitt (Richmond icon Corner Hotel), the Victoria Street has been revamped to give diners a refined yet casual dining experience that goes beyond your average Friday night at the pub. With a kitchen team headed by Will Manning (ex-Money Order Office) and ex-Vue de Monde sommelier Ben Skipper in control, diners are in good hands. Snacks such as the steamed duck and lemongrass dumplings and prawn spring rolls with Vietnamese herbs are Asian-inspired while mains veer towards the heartier territory – think sirloin steak with colcannon cake, stout gravy and rosemary butter.
