Why should you drop in for a meal at Le Petit Chef GC? Here are three good reasons:
What’s your most popular dish/drink?
For a truly indulgent and classic French culinary experience, our must-try offerings begin with foie gras as a decadent starter, setting the tone with its rich, buttery texture and complex Flavors. For the entrée, escargot in garlic butter provides a uniquely French taste.

The main course is a showstopper: beef Rossini, an exquisite dish featuring a tender filet mignon topped with luxurious foie gras and drizzled with a decadent truffle-infused sauce. Complementing this is a side of duck fat potatoes, perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and imbued with the rich flavours of duck fat.
To conclude this French feast, a warm apple tarte tatin offers a sweet and satisfying finish with its caramelised apples and buttery, flaky crust.
To accompany this meal, our signature drink is Pastis, a traditional French liqueur with an aniseed base, which perfectly cleanses the palate and enhances the bold flavours of this classic French menu. This is a must-try experience for any food lover.

What’s your point of difference:
What sets us apart is our dedication to serving authentically French cuisine with an unwavering focus on quality, technique and a deep respect for tradition. We use only the finest ingredients, many sourced locally, and our dishes are crafted with the same meticulous care as you would find in a family-owned bistro in the heart of France.
Unlike many other restaurants that adapt French cuisine for modern trends, we remain faithful to the core values of French gastronomy - simple yet sophisticated, rich in history and full of soul. Whether it's a traditional coq au vin or a tarte tatin, we aim to offer dishes that evoke a sense of place, nostalgia and authenticity, all while showcasing the art of French cooking at its finest.
What is a fun fact not many people know about the venue:
The restaurant is called ‘Le Petit Chef’ because of a scene in one of Arthur’s favourite movies – Ratatouille – where the rat ‘Little Chef’ is hidden in the kitchen and makes beautiful French recipes.

Not many people also know that our restaurant is truly a family affair. Chef Arthur, who grew up in New Caledonia with strong French roots, has always had a passion for food. Since he was a child, he’s watched every food show he could find, honing his craft and dream of bringing authentic French cuisine to Australia.
His wife, Aimy, plays an equally vital role in the success of the restaurant: she’s not only been his biggest supporter and fan, but is also expanding the venue’s offerings to include an event and catering side, bringing the same warmth and love to every celebration, just as they do in the restaurant!
