About Ton and Co
For all things tonkatsu, Windsor foodies head to Ton & Co on High Street. One of the few authentic restaurants in Melbourne to focus on these delicious crumbed pork cutlets, settle in for a memorable meal in warm and welcoming surrounds of a red leather bar and counter, Japanese accents and dark wooden table settings. Perhaps say arigatou to edamame beans and miso soup to start; before 18-hour slow-cooked ox tongue skewers, with tare, togarashi and sesame oil, or chicken thigh skewers, with furikake and sansho pepper. The hero of the menu is of course the pork tonkatsu, whether you have it with curry or dark miso sauce and steamed rice; add housemade breaded prawns with tartar sauce, or succulent fried oysters, alongside Japanese potato salad, with karashi mustard and rice wine vinegar.
Excellent!
My coworker really recommended the shop. So I was expecting there and they didn’t betray.
