Allow yourself to be seduced by the smell of freshly baked treats at Wangi Wangi’s Vita Café & Restaurant on Watkins Road. Vita’s bare-bricked façade and polished wooden floors set a cosy vibe, ideal to enjoy a freshly roasted Currumbin coffee and delectable pastry – perhaps a handcrafted apricot Danish, or gluten-free chocolate cake. Those who prefer alfresco dining may choose to unwind in the dog-friendly outdoor area overlooking the lake, while enjoying brunch dishes of truffled roast field mushrooms, Parmesan and sourdough toast. Dine on Friday and Saturday nights for gourmet pizza and a la carte choices like salt and pepper squid, saffron aioli and lemon; before venison sausage risotto, borlotti beans, radicchio and fresh sage, or Scotch fillet, bacon, almond flakes and red wine jus.

A hidden gem in a beautiful suburb
Always friendly smiling service complimented with good coffee, great pastries and first class lunches and dinners. Whether this is a variation on ‘fish and chips’, burgers, pizza, pasta or a gourmet style meal. The flavors are to die for. The building and tables are functional, with varying art works on the walls to admire or buy. Parking on street or behind building.
Fabulous food
The food is so good at this unique little restaurant. Whether you want the best cooked steak with home style chips or a truly gourmet meal this is the place!! The environment isn't fancy but the food is amazing!! Pastries are to die for too!!

Great and a varied range of food; and the hosts are fantastic and friendly. Carl's cooking is one of the best I have tasted; and do not tell anyone about his special pastries; or homemade pizzas.....scrumptious!!
Quite simply the best pastries available in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area. We drive an hour each Saturday to eat here because there is no comparison. The use of real butter in the handcrafted pastries will have you realising you've been cheated by other bakers.
