This fun and funky restaurant is all sleek lines and Oriental artwork, fusing both culture and cuisine in surrounds of suspended decorative umbrellas, rustic brick and a full glass frontage. On balmy Canberra days take to the alfresco area and wrap your hands around an eel house burger – Japanese eel, fish roe, iceberg lettuce, tomato, egg, pineapple, avocado, nori, mayo and eel sauce – or pick up a slice of gourmet flaming prawn pizza on a sweet chilli base, with green capsicum, shallots, hot chilli flakes and fresh chilli. If you haven’t tried it before, order bingsu for dessert – honey yuzu ice flakes topped with honey and fruit pieces – or brownie and fruit bathed in custard and condensed milk.
