Sydney:

Wednesday, October 9 – West Tigers Free Holiday NRL Clinic. West Tigers Empower invites kids aged 5-14 to its free holiday clinic at St Lukes Oval in Concord for a fun-filled day of footy drills and activities.
Friday, October 11 – Free Family Fun Day at Parliament of NSW. Visit Australia’s oldest Parliament for an open day packed with free, fun activities for families with children aged from 4-12 years.
Melbourne:
Wednesday, September 25-Saturday, September 28 – Footy Festival is back and bigger than ever before, taking over Yarra Park in East Melbourne during AFL Grand Week. Entry is free and there’s entertainment for all ages including player appearances, giveaways, AFL play zones, live music and some of Melbourne’s best food trucks and bars.
Tuesday, October 1 – The Rockstar and the Krill. There’s a huge commotion at the bottom of the ocean – a badly behaved rockstar and a tap-dancing krill have found themselves inside the belly of a whale. How did they get there and how will the get out? You are in for a whale of a time at the State Library of Victoria with this internationally-acclaimed premier of Finucane & Smith’s all-singing, all-dancing show for kids and adults.
Wednesday, October 2 – Big Toy Swap. Looking for a fun and sustainable way to update your child’s toy box? Visit the toy swap at Fed Square on October 2 and bring six gently used toys, games or books that your child no longer plays with. Swap them for new-to-yu toys and teach your children the value of second-hand and consuming less. Event suitable for children aged 2-12 years.
Until October 13 – Spring in Your Step: Melbourne Scavenger Hunt. Come and experience Spring in the City with this fun-filled scavenger hunt. Activity sheets can either be picked up at the Melbourne Visitor Hub at Town Hall or the Fitzroy Gardens Visitor Centre. Kids then head off to answer nine questions around the city and East Melbourne. Suitable for primary to middle school-aged children, but adult assistance necessary.
Adelaide:
Monday, September 30 – Come and Try Chess in Park Holme. Come along and have some fun at Hendrie Street Reserve where you can learn how to play. For those who already know how to play, learn some new skills and try winning the mini-tournament. An expert chess coach from Chess School SA will provide a program of chess fundamentals, openings and tactics. Suitable for ages 5-12 years.
Wednesday, October 2 – Board Game Bonanza. Mawson Lakes Library transforms into a playground of strategy, laughter and friendship during the school holidays for two hours of non-stop fun as kids gather to play and mingle with new friends over an array of exciting board games. From classic favourites to modern delights, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Tuesday, October 8 – VR Arcade October School Holiday Program. Step into the future of fun at Mawson Centre’s VR Arcade and immerse yourself in captivating virtual experiences, try favourite games like Beat Saber, fun adventures in Wander or get super creative using Tilt Brush. Age appropriate for 10 and above, no experience necessary.
Wednesday, October 9 – School Holiday BMX Session for Intermediate +. Join freestyle BMX coaches for an epic session at Seaford Skatepark during the October school holidays. Show off your skills, learn some new tricks and have a blast with other BMX enthusiasts. This session suits intermediate + riders with confidence in their experience on a bike, aged 12-18 years. Bring your own bike, helmet, closed in shoes and avoid loose pants.
