A unique dining experience with Middle Eastern inspiration awaits diners at Miss Arda on Terralong Street in Kiama. Located in the heart of town, this restaurant is the perfect spot to dine when visiting the South Coast, with a menu designed to be shared, along with cocktails reflecting the flavours of the dishes, beer, wine and spirits.
Inspired by the classic Chocolate Martini, but with a Miss Arda twist, mixologist Jessica Cooper delivers the Ferrero Rocher Martini to celebrate Chocolate Week.
"Chocolate pairs with salty, spicy and savoury dishes and being a venue that is passionate about cocktails and wine pairings, we took on a challenge to change everyone’s view on what you would think of as exclusively a dessert cocktail,” she explains. "We have made this drink a staple pairing for our savoury dishes.
"Emily the owner of Miss Arda was interested in a Chocolate Martini being put on the menu and I thought it couldn’t just be any other Chocolate Martini, why don’t we make it taste just like Ferrero Rocher? And then the mixology began.”
Jessica recommends this cocktail because it is extremely versatile – not only can it be an indulgent finish to a beautiful dinner, it can also be used as a food pairing as it incorporates all the ingredients that pair with dishes Miss Arda’s menu embodies.
