Adelaide has a taste of Palm Springs in the CBD with the opening of rooftop bar and restaurant, Two Suns, located at 41 Currie Street – the latest venture from Kidd Retail Group (KRG).
The team behind Lady Burra, Girl Next Door and BCKYRD has created a resort vibe in the heart of the city with the unique space featuring uninterrupted city views. With an open-air rooftop bar and separate indoor dining spaces, Two Suns is an ideal function space for social and corporate gatherings.
Steven Kidd, KRG Owner/Operator, says Two Suns adds fun to Adelaide’s rooftop scene:
"We’ve always envisioned a rooftop bar and restaurant to be among what we offer, and this is different to any of the offerings that currently exist in Adelaide. Locals and travellers are really going to love it for its relaxed style, a place to eat and drink that encourages conversation – and of course to admire the views of the city.
"It’s also a fantastic spot for parties and events, it’s a flexible space that we can do a lot with.”
Taking residence above Lady Burra, Two Suns has a capacity of 250, making the area atop Currie Street ideal for after-work knockoffs, midweek dinners and private parties.
Tenants in the building can also use the space during the day for corporate functions and conferences. It is open for dinner five nights a week featuring live music on Friday and Saturday nights between 5 pm and 8 pm. DJ beats will follow until late.
The menu is inspired by nights along the coast and tapas-style share plates, including the likes of prawn tacos, croquettes, salt and pepper calamari and wood-fired pizza. Yellow and white striped upholstery, wooden benchwork and bar stools with curvature are among the finer touches between the bar and restaurant created by Pinnacle Commercial Interiors and its commercial partners.
Mustard yellow and dusty reds compliment the stone flooring and marble counters in creating earthy design features. With a $5 million investment by KRG, Two Suns is a place intended for gathering and enjoying what Adelaide has on offer all year round.
Two Suns is located at Level 8/41 Currie Street, Adelaide. Opening hours are Wednesday to Sunday from 5 pm until late.
