After three years of crafting exceptional brews, Little Pete Brewing is excited to open its new open-air bar at Langhorne Creek - South Australia’s newest must-visit destination for a drink with a view.
The first-of-its-kind open-air bar on Step Road sits on 20 acres, surrounded by Langhorne Creek vineyards and paddocks, with the Bremer River flowing nearby and framed by majestic ancient river red gums.

Here, guests can relax in a casual atmosphere, savouring Little Pete Brewing’s signature craft beers while enjoying the stunning natural backdrop.
This unique venue offers yet another reason to visit Langhorne Creek, renowned for its wineries and cellar door experiences, redefining what it means to enjoy a drink in the region.
"We always felt this property has a special energy,” says co-founder Warren Burgess, reflecting on their journey from brewing beer for family and friends to opening the open-air bar.
"We launched the Little Pete Brewing brand just three years ago and we’ve been selling directly to consumers while supplying select venues and bottle shops across Adelaide, Fleurieu and the Adelaide Hills.

"When we purchased this property 18 months ago, we knew it was the perfect place to build the open-air bar and, soon, the construction of a new brewhouse. It’s a dream come true that after three years, we’re welcoming visitors and consumers to us.”
Since the inception of Little Pete Brewing in 2021, founders Warren and Beck Burgess have been committed to connecting people through exceptional brewing, with a strong emphasis on the paddock-to-plate philosophy - or, in this case, grain-to-glass.
Warren, an agronomist with a passion for the science behind brewing, and Beck, a consultant who supports local farmers and organises large-scale agriculture conferences, really know how to ‘brew’ up a winning partnership.
"The open-air bar and property embody everything we envision for Little Pete Brewing - a place where community, quality craft beer and the beauty of Langhorne Creek come together,” Beck says. "We want our customers to feel at home, just like visiting a friend for a catch-up, but with a sneaky beer in hand.

"Come for a beer on the lawns, where you can kick back under the umbrellas and enjoy a laid-back, unpretentious atmosphere - just good drinks and great company in a unique setting. Bring your kids and your dog (on leash) and make a day of it.”
The bar will feature Little Pete Brewing’s seven signature beers, available for purchase and tasting paddles, as well as local wines sourced from vineyards – literally - next door.
Food lovers can delight in ‘build your own platters’ crafted from producers across the Fleurieu region, ensuring a true paddock-to-plate experience.
Highlighting a commitment to sustainability, the venue will operate semi-off-grid, using battery power to keep the lights on so the fun never stops.

The opening coincides with the launch of Little Pete Brewing’s flagship beer, ‘SA Draught’, celebrating South Australia’s rich brewing heritage - an Australian lager sure to please everyone, including non-craft beer drinkers.
Little Pete Brewing invites everyone to visit the open-air bar (Little Pete Brewing, 543 Step Road, Langhorne Creek) and experience the magic of Langhorne Creek firsthand.
