This upmarket restaurant and bar seamlessly blends a stacked stone open kitchen counter with exposed brick walls, recycled timber and softly glowing Edison bulb lighting to create the ideal vibe for lingering over a drink and bite to eat.

What’s your most popular dish/drink:
We really pride ourselves on our availability of the ‘not run of the mill’ wines – we stock your Vermentino, Chablis, Montepulciano, Nebbiolo and Amarone; as well as the much-loved regulars, Sauv Blanc, Rosé, Pinot Noir etc.
We also take a lot of time and care with our cocktails, we have several signatures, including the Bar 94, which is our most popular by far. We have also put extra effort into resurrecting some of our favourite classics, especially sours and daiquiris where we have a whole host of different versions available.
As for the food dishes, the empanadas are something you can’t go past; as well as the steaks – cooked in our Josper oven, there is NO better way to have steak. It melts in your mouth every time without fail.
What's your point of difference:
Our Josper is definitely something that sets us apart from everyone else, it’s a timber/charcoal oven in which we cook everything from our steaks to our bugs and prawns.
We are also a family-owned business, we are just your average husband and wife with three kids and our best friend. The idea for the restaurant came about from our many Sunday afternoon family/friend feasts that my husband would cook up and it would be a full shared spread on our dining table with our family and close friends.
That is the atmosphere we have tried to emulate at Bar 94 - upmarket and high-quality food and drink in a relaxed, comfortable and fun environment. We want people to feel like part of the family and come back to enjoy what we have to offer on a number of occasions.
What is a fun fact that not many people know about the restaurant?
The venue is run by the two boys Daniel (Chef – who also works on the floor in the evenings) and Corey, who have been friends for a number of years after working at a motorbike shop together. I (Olivia) am there behind the scenes and also on Friday and Saturday nights in the cocktail station as that was my baby after many years of experience in the area.
We are the truest version of owner-operators and we are so humbled by the response we have gained already.
