Co-founders Stu Bellis, Marilla Gair and Chris Dore are three passionate Melbourne publicans ready to welcome everyone to Richmond’s newest hot spot.

"Nixie Nox is more than just a pub - it’s a place where locals can come together, connect over great food and drinks and feel at home. We’ve poured our hearts into creating a welcoming space that reflects the spirit of Richmond and we can’t wait to share a drink and a story with everyone who walks through our doors."

Despite its size, the kitchen produces dishes that far exceed expectations. "Our food offering is kept tight to match the size of our kitchen, but the food we offer well exceeds anything you'd expect from such an unassuming space. Our Head Chef, Stacey Tuara, works wonders within the kitchen and we can truly stand strong behind each dish,” Stu says.

With options catering to vegetarians, vegans and those with dietary restrictions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Nixie Nox. Standout dishes include: beef burnt ends – slow-cooked for more than six hours and glazed with Wolf of the Willows Hazy Pale Ale; miso mushroom daikon cakes – served with crispy chickpeas and black vinegar reduction; lamb ragu pappardelle - slow-roasted lamb shoulder, shredded and simmered in a rich tomato-based sauce, served over silky pappardelle pasta; and a classic pub parma – a standout take on the iconic dish, featuring sous vide chicken breast, smoked sugo and fresh mozzarella, served with fries and salad.

Complementing the food offering and keeping things simple but exceptional, Nixie Nox offers two local beers on tap, currently featuring Wolf of the Willows PUP Hazy Pale Ale and Breheny Bros Royal Lager. The fridges are stocked with a variety of Australian beers and ciders, ensuring there’s a drink to suit every palate.

Its well-curated wine list showcases standout selections, including Yarra Valley Pinot Noir, Napa Valley Chardonnay and NZ Pinot Gris, alongside a NSW Pet Nat and a South Australian chilled red. Cocktail lovers will find all the classics – Margaritas, Negronis and Espresso Martinis – alongside elevated house specials that bring a unique twist to timeless favourites.
