Supercars fans attending this year’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will have new corporate experiences, including a collaboration with one of Queensland’s award-winning restaurants Hellenika.
From October 28-30 the streets of the Gold Coast come alive with the sound of revving engines and squealing tyres – along with a Mykonos-inspired experience bringing Hellenika’s signature menu to one of the most sought-after locations on the track – the exhilarating Beach Chicane.
An in-suite Chef at a live cooking station will serve guests lamb ribs, saganaki, taramasalata, calamari and Hellenika’s famous zucchini chips.
Hellenika owner and well-known restaurateur Simon Gloftis says even though the restaurant moved to Brisbane almost four years ago, its connection with the Gold Coast is still very strong.
"I’m so pleased to be able to bring a little bit of Hellenika back to the Gold Coast and to be able to do this in conjunction with Supercars and create something special on the beach is really exciting!” he says.
The second new addition to the hospitality offering is ‘The Lounge’, which overlooks the famous Surfers Paradise pit lane. A full-day curated grazing menu will be complemented by premium beer and wine, Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve Champagne and a spirit selection.
Guests across the three days of the event will even be able to listen to Supercars team radio chatter along with appearances from some of the sport’s biggest names.
Supercars General Manager – Corporate Experiences, Tracey Woodbry says there is always strong demand regarding hospitality for the Gold Coast event and they want to make sure every fan is catered for.
"We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Hellenika to deliver something completely new for the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500. Hellenika is a well-known stylish brand and to have them on board, servicing fans who want to experience the Beach Chicane at its very best, is a great outcome for the event.
"The Lounge and Hellenika by Supercars are part of our promise to bring the party back, after three years without racing here on the Gold Coast.”
For the first time, this year’s event will also feature three nights of entertainment on stage and three days of racing.
Bliss N Esso and DJ Total Eclipse will perform on Friday, October 28 at Club 500, with Carl Cox and Eric Powell bringing their world-renowned show to life on Saturday, October 29. The event will round out with Sneaky Sound System, supported by Kota Banks and Brooke Evers on Sunday, October 30.
