Brisbane continues to WOW us all but this time for Valentine's Day!
If you’re looking for a romantic night full of wanderlust and romance in the city that will be the face of Australia in just 8 years – then we have a special night planned for you.
Start at Queensland Art Gallery’s Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and walk hand in hand with your sweetheart through the halls of ‘Fairy Tales’ until April 28. This enchanting world of ‘Once Upon a Time’ will tickle your fancy with original pieces from beloved fairy tales, like the handheld mirror that Emma Watson holds in the 2017 version of Beauty and the Beast, along with the magical petal dropping rose, encased in a glass dome. There are twisted woodlands to weave in and out of and even a life-size Cinderella carriage created out of crystalised sugar.
You’ll then want to take your love and stroll leisurely over the Kurilpa Bridge for a short 1 km walk, direction: Valentine's Dinner! Keep the romance flowing at Goldfinch restaurant, with a special Valentine’s Day 3-course dinner paired with a complimentary glass of sparkling and let the ambience of Goldfinch weave its magic as you relish every bite of the specially curated menu.
We have it on good authority that the strawberry Eton Mess, is divine!
Conclude your soiree at the nearby Moonlight Cinema in the Roma Street parklands, for a screening of The Notebook. Although if you can’t make it on February 14, romantic films are on offer all week long including the current box office film Anyone But You, Priscilla and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
Valentine's Day in Brisbane – sorted!
The rest of the night, at this point – is up to you!
