This Father’s Day, Teeling Irish Whiskey has partnered with Sydney bar Frank Mac’s Head Mixologist Conor Hoy to bring Dad the gift of Liquid Gold!
Featuring Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey, this stunning cocktail is garnished with gold flakes for an extra special celebration come Sunday, September 1. With floral notes, vanilla sweetness, rum-raisin and allspice on the nose, Teeling has a flavour profile that delivers a creaminess on the palate with dried fruit, raisin and apricot characters with slight, tingling spices.
Through a blend of hand-selected casks of grain and malt whiskey that are initially fully aged in ex-bourbon barrels, Teeling demonstrates innovation by marrying liquid together in Central American rum casks for up to 12 months, giving birth to Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey.
The finish is long and warming, leaving lingering sweetness, spice and notes of oak to deliver a dram that Dad will love this Father’s Day.
Whiskey making and entrepreneurship have been in the Teeling genes as far back as 1782, when Walter Teeling set up a small craft distiller on Marrowbone Lane in the industrial heart of Dublin City.
Since 2012, Jack and Stephen Teeling – the latest generation of Teeling Whiskey makers, have been putting their own mark on Irish Whiskey which came full circle in 2105 with the opening of a new distillery just down the road from where the original family distillery once stood.
The first new distillery in Dublin for more than 125 years, Teeling is renowned for doing things differently with its whiskies embodying an unconventional spirit through the use of innovative maturation techniques, atypical mash bills and forward-thinking distillation methods.
Combining tradition with modern technology to continually push the boundaries of flavour, Teeling doesn’t chill filter its whiskey prior to bottling, leaving as much of the body, character and richness in the bottle.
