Located in the hustle and bustle of Gold Coast lays the well-known tourist attraction and suburb Surfers Paradise. However, the Surfers of today is a far cry from the one some 20 years ago. No longer plagued with neon flashing signs, discos or adult stores, the 2.0 version of Surfers Paradise is sophisticated, full of energy and family-friendly fun.
It’s here that you’ll find the all-new Paradise Centre boasting 100 metres of frontage opposite the world-famous Surfers Paradise Beach and host to 90 speciality shops, an alfresco beachfront dining precinct and a constantly rotating schedule of live entertainment that ramps up for festive occasions like school holidays and notable public holidays.
The standout is the 25 food and dining options from crepes, sweets, iced teas and gelato to slowly fermented dough churning out pasta and pizza and even a Wahlburgers.
Level one hosts the world’s largest Timezone, axe throwing centre, a VR arcade and interactive ten-pin bowling while the ground level features food, fashion and boutiques. This January the centre will again transform its façade into a haven of free glittery, Summer fun in its Sparkling Summer event where the beach shimmers, sand glistens and the nights sparkle – right up to Sunday, January 21.
Free live music, entertainment and prizes will be the focus of the activation where live DJ sets on Fridays-Sundays will have little ones boogying in the open space. A free shimmer and sparkle makeover station is set up too and you’ll appreciate the infamous mascots roaming the block – Beau the Budgie, Chip the Seagull and Lucy the Lorikeet.
Paradise Centre is open from 9am to late every day.
