A new social media challenge is taking the Aussie food scene by storm, asking local foodies the question: "Could you really tell if a burger was made with plant-based Impossible Beef?"
With some of the nation’s biggest creators taking their first bite, the Bloody Delicious Challenge has already seen more than 162K views with shocking results across Instagram and TikTok:
Beloved Chef and TV personality Iain ‘Huey Hewitson, made an Aussie-style Impossible Burger with the lot, and claimed he was ‘boggled’ by how good it tastes to more than 98,000+ of his followers.

"I’ve spent years cooking with red meat and would consider myself an expert when it comes to a good burger. I never would have thought that a plant-based burger would make its way onto my plate, but this Impossible Burger was bloody delicious!”
Huey also created an Aussie-style burger recipe with all the classic trimmings, featuring a plant-based twist, for you to try at home.
Australia’s first street-style content creator Tom Sharpe, boasting 10.9m+ followers, tried an Impossible Burger based on a stranger’s recommendations and is now officially a convert.
"I am fully convinced! The char - perfection, the juiciness - magical, that is Bloody Delicious!”

Sydney-based food and photography creator Chester See couldn’t believe that the Impossible Burger was plant-based and encouraged his 200,000+ followers to try the Challenge for themselves.
"Nearly half of Aussies are open to trying plant-based meat plus Impossible Beef is packed with protein, so it’s perfect for keeping up with my gym goals.”
The challenge is a direct challenge in itself as research from Impossible Foods found more than a quarter of Aussies (27%) are sceptical of the taste of plant-based meat, with one in five (19%) convinced that it ‘wouldn’t taste like animal meat’. Clearly, tasting is believing!
To help Aussies participate in the Bloody Delicious Challenge, Impossible is teaming up with Mary’s in Circular Quay to give out more than 200 FREE Impossible Burgers for one day only on Thursday, April 3 between 12 pm-3 pm.
